Silly name aside, if you’re a geek in Seattle this holiday season, you must check out the Sheraton Hotel’s annual (and free) gingerbread village “May the Holidays Be With You.” That’s right, Star Wars-themed gingerbread to benefit the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. Here’s some photos I took last weekend!
Episode I: The Phantom Menace
Episode II: Attack of the Clones
Episode III: Revenge of the Sith
Episode IV: A New Hope
Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back (my personal favorite for movies and for the exhibition)
Episode VI: Return of the Jedi

Jedi of all ages will marvel at the larger than life gingerbread creations from a galaxy far, far away. The Force is particularly strong in the alliance between the Sheraton Hotel culinary team and top local architecture and construction firms who will design, bake and delight you this holiday season with Star Wars inspired creations. The Sheraton Seattle Hotel 23rd Annual Gingerbread Village is free to the public, with donations benefitting the JDRF Northwest Chapter May the Holidays Be With You.
JDRF Northwest Chapter is committed to funding the world’s best research to cure type 1 diabetes and its complications. JDRF Northwest Chapter serves people living in Washington, Montana, and Alaska through advocacy efforts, online support and resources, educational events, research updates, and fundraisers.
Clearly I need classes in gingerbread structural engineering. Mine fall over without at least 50 strategically placed toothpicks.
Hi there! I loved this post (food and Star Wars, how can you beat that)? I was hoping to contact you via email to ask a couple of questions, would you mind sending me a note at the address I provided? Thank you!
