The creators of The Queer Language of Flowers are launching a new zine, and they’d love for you to come celebrate with them! Join L.M. Zoller, Robin Elan, and Outsider Comics for food, comics and queer/trans community to celebrate the launch of the second issue of The Corners of Their Mouth: A Queer Food Zine.

The Corners of Their Mouth: A Queer Food Zine is part comic, part cookbook, and 100% queer. The first Corners of Their Mouth explored queer food issues through recipes and slice-of-life comics. In Issue 2, L.M. and Robin are joined by contributors Elijah Garrard, Elk Paauw and Jessica Glaser to bring together a collection of recipes, comics, poetry and essays on topics including from self-care and queer crushes, learning to cook in a new country, and queer nihilism’s connection to vegan food.

Artist Robin Elan (pronouns: they/them/theirs) and writer L.M. Zoller (they/them/theirs or ze/zir/zirs) are a Seattle-based nonbinary-bisexual couple and are also creative partners. They first became friends through food and still really love cooking with and for each other and their friends.

We’ll have free food, soft drinks, and a satirical “Gender Reveal Disaster” cake by L.M., so bring your queer fam and celebrate with us! In addition to the brand new zine, we’ll have Issue 1 of The Corners of Their Mouth, as well as other zines and art available for purchase.
