I’ll Make It Myself! and Robin Elan Art are proud to present our first collaboration: The Corners of Their Mouth: A Queer Food Zine, in which we use recipes and comics to ask the hard-hitting questions:
What does it mean to be a queer nonbinary foodie? Why is everyone so obsessed with gender reveal cakes? What is the queerest food? Who’s your food OTP? Are straight people…okay?

The Corners of Their Mouth features recipes by both authors, an introduction about queerness and food by L.M., and comics by Robin Elan. We’re debuting the print copy at Geek Girl Con 2017, which will be held in Seattle on Sept. 30 – Oct. 1. We will be located at table F107, located in the 4th Floor Exhibitor Hall. We’ll also have a variety of prints, postcards, and stickers by Robin Elan.
Our zines are being printed by local risograph studio Paper Punch Press. We plan to sell more copies online after the convention and will link to that as soon as possible!
Robin Elan creates art about gender, queerness, mental illness at robin-elan.com. You can find their work on Tumblr, Twitter, and Instagram.
L.M. writes I’ll Make It Myself!, a queer, geeky food blog. Find zir work on Facebook, Tumblr, Twitter, and Instagram.
